My Breast Cancer Story

If anything can stir up one’s brain cells, it’s when your doctor looks you straight in the face and delivers the news “You have cancer”.  Not a journey I planned.

In 1998 I switched professions and opened an Intimate Wellness store in Boise, Idaho. Around 2005, I began working with a Gynecologic Oncology doctor. They reached out to me for a better therapeutic vaginal dilator for use after gynecologic surgery or treatments.

After 3 months of searching I discovered a product and became a vendor with the local cancer hospital. Providing several other products they still purchase from my company today. 

This is where my journey began. It’s my mission to assist women recovering from breast or gynecologic cancers so they can maintain their sexual wellness . 

I became an Intimate Wellness Consultant for women emerging from their cancer journey. By listening to their personal story I offer knowledge, product information, or additional resources.

Then it was my turn. In the fall of 2013 I heard those dreaded words for my self.

You Have Breast Cancer

“You have breast cancer” was all I seemed to hear and the rest became a blur. So many thoughts began to swirl but mostly I was scared to my core. I regrouped by the next day knowing I needed to understand all my fears, sensations, and medical experiences to better help others through a shared experience.

I had a lumpectomy and a second for more margin. Then I began a 30-day radiation program knowing full well my thin skin was going to sizzle!

I began to research and experiment with ingredients I was familiar with and landed on a formula that offered great relief. My skin was kept intact, soft, and moisturized during treatment. I came though the radiation without my tissue breaking down and that’s where COZ Barrier® development began.

My concerns during my cancer treatments were tissue breakdown, infection, and scarring. 

COZ Barrier® should start on first day of radiation treatment. Apply a small amount to cover the impacted area for comfort. 

Please follow doctors’ direction of any topical applications prior to radiation treatment.

COZ Barrier® does not attach to the skin cells like oils. This allows the skin to breathe – a key for healing!

How To Use COZ Barrier®

Please start with a small amount and add more if needed. A little goes a long way. Clean up spills immediately with soap and water. This product may stain some fabrics. Keep out of ears and do not ingest. Store at room temperature. Use COZ Barrier® as directed. If irritation occurs discontinue use.

Shipping

We use the US Postal service for shipping. If another carrier is necessary please contact us for options and costs. Each order will show a flat USPS shipping fee of $10.00. Due to increased restrictions by foreign customs authorities, possible package seizures, and possible additional duty charges, we currently only accept orders from the United States. At this time, we feel this will avoid a frustrating and potentially costly experience to our foreign customers.
